FOOD SAFETY

Heat seafood thoroughly.

Cook or reheat shellfish to a minimum internal temperature of 145Β°F (63Β°C). Crab meat should be hot throughout, firm, and opaque.

Keep raw seafood separate from ready-to-eat foods and refrigerate leftovers within 2 hours, or within 1 hour when temperatures are above 90Β°F.

Directions

1

Prepare the Steamer

Add the water, lemon slices, crushed garlic, bay leaves, seafood seasoning and Cajun seasoning to a large pot. Bring the mixture to a strong simmer.

2

Add the Crab Legs

Place a steamer basket or rack over the simmering liquid. Arrange the crab leg clusters in the basket, cover tightly, and steam until heated completely through.

3

Heat Gently

Steam for approximately 6–8 minutes for thawed, fully cooked crab legs. If starting from frozen, allow additional time as needed.

Most commercially sold snow crab legs are already cooked. The goal is to heat them thoroughly without drying out the delicate crab meat.

4

Check the Temperature

Check the thickest portion of the crab meat and ensure the seafood reaches at least 145Β°F (63Β°C).

5

Warm the Garlic Sauce

While the crab legs finish steaming, gently warm Sisterly Kitchen Garlic Sauce according to the product serving directions. Divide into small dipping bowls.

6

Finish & Serve

Transfer the hot crab legs to a serving platter. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges and plenty of warm Garlic Sauce for dipping.

THE SISTERLY WAY

Steam. Crack. Dip.

Crack the shell, pull out a piece of sweet crab meat, and dip it straight into warm Sisterly Kitchen Garlic Sauce. That's where the magic happens.
